Job Purpose: The trimmer position will perform the required hand trimming and harvesting operations for the Processing Division while maintaining an efficient work ethic and ensuring optimal product quality.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Accurately hand trim sugar leaves from cannabis product after the drying/curing process, using shears or scissors, while maintaining set quality standards.
- Separate and organize the trimmed product into bins designated for; buds, trim, stems. Ensure all components of each plant add up to the pre-weight of the plant.
- Organize buds by their size, with large buds being set aside from medium/small buds.
- On harvest days, cooperate in Processing Team operations to prepare the plants for the curing process, including shucking, removing of fan leaves, moving/hanging of plants, collecting waste plant matter, disposing of dirt, and cleaning of work area.
- Ensure optimal plant and product data organization and reconciliation, by making sure plant tags always stay with their respective plant as it goes through all processing stages.
- Work in a quick and efficient manner, simultaneously meeting speed and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment, performing cleaning tasks daily.
- Take direction from Processing Manager, helping out in miscellaneous tasks around the workplace whenever necessary.
- Develop basic knowledge of strain characteristics and main problems in the garden that can affect the product, such as pests/pathogens.
- Assure daily compliance with policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, dress code, HR protocols, work schedules and all company policies in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the processing room is set up for success for the following work day.
- Abide by the scheduling policies, being on time for scheduled shifts, returning to work after scheduled breaks in a timely manner, and requesting time off in advance.
- Immediately report to supervisor any variables that prevent you from accomplishing any of the above tasks (lack of resources, staff inadequacies, etc.)
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a criminal background. Alabama residency preferred.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of medical and/or retail marijuana. Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical marijuana.
- Skill: Fast- paced hand movement, agility, teamwork and cooperation.
- Ability: Attention to detail, meticulousness, taking direction, self- motivation, strong communication and organizational skills, reliability, trustworthiness, good attitude and positive outlook.
- Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in marijuana trimming preferred, but not required.
